As already evident from the addition of “de Muze” to the name, the stallion saw the light of day at the world-class horse breeder Joris de Brabander. He has made an excellent name for himself among the best-known breeders with his numerous, first-class bred show jumpers.

Rummikub’s potential was already evident at the stallion licensing, where he was an absolute revelation. He convinced the jury with his exceptional spatial grip, amazing reflexes and amazing technique at the jump. Besides all the qualities a modern sport horse needs for competition, he also has the X-factor that elevates him to the ultimate promising star of modern show jumping.

The potential did not go undiscovered. The high expectations of his potential were shown at the Belgian auction: “The Auction” by Ecuries d’ Ecaussinnes on 05 April 2022, where he achieved the proud sale price of € 475,000.

His track record so far underlines his class. So far, he has won 25% of his international starts, which puts him at number 1 in the world ranking list for 5-year-old horses. In CSIYH1* on the Sunshine Tour alone, he completed 6 out of 8 rounds clear and finished one of the competitions in 1st place.

Rummikub’s sire is the famous Nixon van ‘t Meulenhof, a promising young stallion with a fantastic pedigree. This is true on both the paternal and maternal side.

Nixon’s sire, Denzel van ‘t Meulenhof, is a young stallion by Marius Claudius, who in turn has produced several international horses. This stallion has also performed at the highest level. Denzel’s dam is the well-known mare Narcotique de Muze IV (Quidam de Revel), who also jumped at the highest level. Furthermore, she is the dam of 3 licensed stallions. Besides Denzel van ‘t Meulenhof, these include Jenson van ‘t Meulenhof ( Vagabond de la Pomme) and Iron Man van ‘t Meulenhof (Parco). Nixon’s dam is Carthina Z (Carthago Z x Lys de Darmen). She is the dam of the famous stallion Emerald van het Ruytershof (Diamant de Semilly) and Diamanthina van de Ruytershof (Diamant de Semilly). Both are active at the highest level.

Rummikub’s dam is the famous mare Withney van de Dwerse Hagen. Withney has the scope of her half brothers and has an incredible track record.

As an 8-year-old mare she already wins her first Grand Prix at the CSI*** Rosa Vicenza, Italy. As a 9-year-old she is part of the Belgian team at the 5-star show jumping competitions of Lummen, Madrid, Lisbon, Hickstead and Dublin. She won her 2nd Grand Prix at Lons-le-Saunier, France, and came 2nd at the Dublin Grand Prix in 2008, 2009 Withney won the Beervelde Grand Prix in brilliant fashion. Her success continued in the following years.

Whitney’s sire is Codex (son of Carthago) her dam is the mare Jade du Ri d’Asse who produced other top horses at 1m50 level.
